PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air tool which does not easily stall, even when starting the air tool from low speed rotation. SOLUTION: This air driver (air tool) is provided with a pressure accumulating chamber 7, an air passage 10, and a trigger 14 for operating a throttle valve 5 to control rotating speed of an air motor 1 by increasing/decreasing an opening area of the throttle valve 5 according to manipulated variable of the trigger 14. The air tool is provided with a ball (second valve) 31 for opening/closing inflow of compressed air from the pressure accumulating chamber 7 to the air passage 10, and a first air hole 5a for communicating the pressure accumulating chamber 7 with the ball 31 and a second air hole 5b having smaller area than that of the first air hole 5a in the throttle valve 5. The ball 31 is made to perform an opening/closing operation by being moved by interlocking with the operation of the trigger 14. The first air hole 5a is closed by bringing the ball 31 into contact with the throttle valve 5 after moved to an open position. By further moving the ball 31, the throttle valve 5 is opened/closed.
