A service server, a home server, and a system for providing home network based contents and a providing method thereof are provided to manage the contents integrally by storing the required contents in the home server. If a service server connection request is received from a member terminal among the family member, the member terminal and service server are connected(401). If the member terminal requires the contents according to the contents keyword reception through the home server, the service server authenticates the member based on the subscriber information stored in the subscriber database(402). If the subscriber authentication is succeeded, the service server collects corresponding contents data corresponding to the contents keyword by inquiring the external contents DB server by using the contents keyword received from the member terminal(403). The service server inquires whether AD data corresponding to collected contents data exists in the advertisement database or not(404). If the advertisement data exist in the advertisement database, the service server couples contents data and the advertisement data(405). The service server transmits contents data in which AD data are combined to the corresponding home server based on the subscriber information(406). If the service server transmits contents data in which AD data are combined to the home server, the home server stores contents data in which AD data received from the service server are combined(407). After contents data in which AD data are combined is stored in the home server, if the home server receives the contents request from a member terminal among the family member, the home server transmits the corresponding stored contents to the corresponding member terminal(408).
