PURPOSE: A portable terminal, a transaction approving system using the same, and a method thereof are provided to enable a portable terminal of a purchaser to directly transmit a request message for transaction approval by transmitting a member store key to the portable terminal through a bar code or noncontact wireless communication. CONSTITUTION: A member store key is given to a member store. A portable terminal(100) stores a mobile card key for transactions. The portable terminal obtains the member store key. The portable terminal generates a request message for transaction approval by using sales figures of the member store, the member store key, the mobile card key, and a user password key. A transaction approval server(400) receives the request message for transaction approval from the portable terminal and processes the same. The transaction approval server transmits a processed result to both a member store terminal(200) of the member store and the portable terminal.
