The turbocharger (1) has a turbine with an adjustable geometry provided in a cast turbine housing (2). The turbine includes adjustable guide vanes (6, 7) for variably adjusting an intake section in which exhaust gas inflows. A floatingly mounted spacer ring (10) i.e. sheet metal part, is provided between the guide vanes and the turbine housing. The ring is linked with the inflowing exhaust gas via a pressure channel (11) and rearwardly subjected with the exhaust gas. A wall of the housing is integrated in the pressure channel.
