1291131 Dust settling chamber INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 8 Jan 1970 [10 Jan 1969] 926/70 Heading BIT [Also in Division A1] A dust settling chamber in a combine harvester is defined by top wall 41, outside wall 42, inside wall 43, front wall 45, and rear wall 47 and include a driven endless belt, or chain and flat conveyor (50) having upstanding fingers and mounted on rollers 51 and 54 near the floor. Transverse conduit 49 feeds straw containing dust and fines from the thresher under an air flow to inlet 48 in the top and inside walls of chamber 40. The large volume of chamber 40 causes a reduction in air velocity and subsequent settling of dust with the straw onto the conveyor (50), with subsequent deposition through a straw discharge opening (59). |
