The surface of the plate is provided with grooves (1, 4) to form portion pieces (3). A drawback of known plates made of an eatable substance is that when breaking portion pieces, always a part with the same breadth as a transverse row in the plate is broken off the plate. Mostly, too many portion pieces are broken off, whereby it is difficult to keep the loose pieces in the pack. This drawback can be avoided by designing the plate and the grooves so that the grooves (1) and the edges (2) of the plate form squares inside each other, which are turned 45 DEG with respect to each other. |
