PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrink machine and a method of silencing the same, for reducing the noises of the heat shrinking machine and improving working environment in producing a cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: The heat shrink machine comprises a heating means for giving thermal expansion to a heat shrunk band, air blow supply means for supplying air blow to the thermally expanded heat shrunk band to be cooled and shrunk around the cathode-ray tube, an air blow exhaust portion, a noise observing means arranged near the exhaust portion for observing the waveforms of noises including an air blow noise, and a reverse phase sound generating means for generating sounds which have phases in reverse to those of the noises observed by the noise observing means and relatively eliminating low-pitched noises by interfering with the noises. The method of silencing the heat shrink machine comprises using the same.
