PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in photography standby in an imaging apparatus including a plurality of optical systems and a plurality of imaging devices.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a lens group constituting a plurality of optical systems, a plurality of imaging devices for respectively forming images through respective optical systems and a display unit for view angle confirmation. A control unit determines whether the imaging apparatus is in photography standby or not (S101), and when the imaging apparatus is in photography standby, controls the imaging devices so as to drive only an imaging device necessary for generating an image to be displayed on the display unit and photographing information and stop the other imaging devices (S102).
