DUPLEX WRITING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex writing instrument having no anxiety of contaminating clothing carrying the writing element of water base of an intermediate viscosity and an oil base ink ballpoint pen of a low viscosity. SOLUTION: The site of connecting an ink container to a writing end is formed of a flexibly displaceably bendable part 4. The duplex writing instrument comprises a clip 38 having a base part 38a fixed to the one side face of a cap 34 and extending forward of a barrel 30, and a ball part 39 having a locking part of the end of the clip 38. A bulged part 33 having a locking part is formed at a predetermined position of the barrel peripheral surface opposed to the part 39. The part 39 of the clip is engaged with the locking part of the part 33 only in the state that the cap 39 is rotated so that the writing end is projected from the end port of the barrel in such a manner that the part 39 of the clip 38 is not separated from the barrel face.
