<p>PURPOSE:To easily grasp a recording state in a helical scan magnetic recording and reproducing device by high speedily reproducing a tape from its beginning to the end, accumulatively storing information about the presence of recording based on a high frequency regenerative signal, etc., and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:When the high speed reproducing is instructed by an operating key part 21, a high speed reproducing mode is effective via a microcomputer 20 and via a motor control circuit 24, etc., and a regenerative signal by rotary magnetic heads 5 and 7 is supplied to a regenerative signal existence discriminating circuit 17 of a high frequency processing circuit 13. Then, the presence of recording is discriminated based on the high frequency regenerative signal from the beginning to the end of the tape 1 and the information of the presence is stored in a storage area of the microcomputer 20. Consequently, when a display mode is instructed by the key part 21, the storage contents are displayed at a display 22, thus deciding the recording state of a magnetic tape easily and accurately.</p> |
