PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video image providing a stereoscopic sense without using a video signal for stereoscopic video image by modulating a time axis or a deflection speed of the video signal depending on a luminance change in the video signal. SOLUTION: A fixed delay line 21 of a stereoscopic video signal generating circuit section 15 delays two color difference signals SR- Y and SB- Y respectively by a preset prescribed time and the delayed signals are respectively fed to matrix circuits 31L, 31R of left/right eye video display sections 30L, 30R. Furthermore, a luminance signal SY is given respectively to delay lines 22, 27 and a differentiation circuit 24 provided to left/right eye video signal processing sections 15L, 15R of a stereoscopic video signal circuit section 15. Then the time base of the left/right eye video signals to be generated is modulated by a luminance change in the video signal. Thus, a viewer obtains a stereoscopic sense emphasized by the principle of left right parallax in addition to a conventional stereoscopic sense obtained by the luminance change. |
