发明名称 NON-ASBESTOS-BASED FRICTION MATERIAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject friction material for disk brake pads, etc., having large effect and hardly generating noise by using aramid pulp, acrylic pulp, etc., in at least a part of a fiber substrate. SOLUTION: This friction material consists essentially of (A) a nonasbestos- based fiber substrate, (B) a thermosetting resin binder and (C) a filler, and the component A contains preferably 1-10wt.% aramid pulp, 1-10wt.% acryl pulp, 1-25wt.% cellulose fiber, 1-20wt.% sepiolite and 1-10wt.% glass fiber based on total amount of the friction material. Furthermore, the friction material contains preferably 5-50wt.% component A, 5-20wt.% component B and 30-80wt.% component C. A glass fiber having 1-5mm average fiber length and 6-15μm average fiber diameter is preferably used as the glass fiber.
