PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a compatibility to a plurality of kinds of optical recording media with different formats and to reduce a physical size by moving a base body in the direction of radius of the optical recording medium. SOLUTION: Two-axis actuators 12, 15 are disposed on an upper face of a base body 8 in an approaching direction of objective lenses held by the actuators respectively, and the objective lenses 11, 14 held by the actuators 12, 15 are positioned directly above beam splitters 17, 20 for optical blocks 10, 13. The two-axis actuator 15 for a high density recording type optical disk is positioned on the base body 8 so that the held objective lens 14 moves facing a radius of an optical recording medium 4 when the base body 8 is moved by a transfer mechanism 9. The objective lens 11 for CD use held by the two- axis actuator 12 moves in parallel with the radius when the base body 8 moves. |
