PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries arranged by use of LFPO-based active material.SOLUTION: A electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries comprises: a powdery compound expressed by the chemical formula, LiFeMPO, where M is Ni or Co, or both; and a coating film of carbon formed thereon. More preferably, 1.0-10.0 wt% of the carbon is included to the compound. The electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries may be arranged so that the compound has an average particle diameter of 2.0 μm or smaller. |
