Football stocking. Front and rear protectors form part of the stocking and are woven with this, each vertically grooved in the process so as to leave one groove between each pair of stiffener ribs and thus retain the stocking elasticity. The stocking has elastic top part and bottom part with a foot strap to hold it in place during play. The material can be wool, cotton, Nylon etc. The front protector pref. reaches round to guard the fibular region also. |
