Rubber/metal bearings are produced with an inner metal tube surrounding moulding, whereby rubber is injected on to the moulding when in the mould and covers are also placed in the mould for the rubber. In the process plastic material is injected first round' the metal tube and is then moulded and cooled; the rubber is finally injected also without any bond between the moulding and covers. Pref. plastic material contains polyphenylene-ether; pref. rubber is a natural rubber plus 5 wt.% styrene-butadiene rubber. ADVANTAGE - The process is logical and economical. It allows many variations.
