The storage rack is formed from two vertical panels (1-4) which are joined by transverse rails. The transverse rails are formed by wooden rods and the vertical panels have holes drilled to accept these rods. The holes in the vertical panel are arranged in rows, with the series of holes at the front raised above the series of holes at the rear by a distance of between five and 15 millimetres. The holes have a cross section of a slightly lesser diameter than that of the rods. The rods are locked in place by pins set in a groove in the vertical panel and traverse the hole that accepts the rod.
