PURPOSE:To eliminate distortion from a distorted read image by forming a mark consisting of a prescribed pattern in side end parts of a read original and deleting or inserting image data partially based on the result of comparison between the pattern of the mark on the read image and the original pattern. CONSTITUTION:Each time an output processing part 17 starts to read an original form 1, the processing part 17 reads out data of a line memory 16 line by line to detect a reference line HL. After a prescribed number of lines are read, data is read out from a mark memory 15 line by line to discriminate the white/ black state of the a-th picture element and the (a+1)th picture element, and an image signal of lines based on the discrimination result is read out from a line memory 16 successively and is outputted to a succeeding-stage device (like a control part 10 of a facsimile equipment). The control part 10 controls the operation timing of the output processing part 17, and the state of the output processing in the output processing part 17 is monitored by the control part 10. Thus, distortion of the original form 1 is corrected to output the corrected result to the succeeding-stage device. |
