PURPOSE:To prevent the shear of the colors of images due to expansion and contraction of an intermediate transfer body belt in a device for color electrophotography which uses a method for obtaining a color image by means of transfer of a monocolor toner image on the intermediate transfer body belt with plural overlaps. CONSTITUTION:Two driving rollers of an intermediate transfer body belt 5 are provided and a transfer roller 11 adapted for transferring images to papers 13 and a cleaning member 14 are located at the driving rollers 17, 18, respectively, and forces acting when these rollers and the member are pressed to the intermediate transfer body belt 5 do not press the stretched portion of the belt but are directed toward the rotary shaft of the driving rollers 17, 18, thus preventing the expansion and contraction and velocity fluctuation of the belt. |
