PURPOSE:To obtain the conductive sheet which is thin and tough and has small electric resistance at the ends by alternately laminating uncrosslinked sheet and crosslinked sheets to the ends of the crosslinked and infusibilized sheet of a silicon carbide precursor polymer and melting the uncrosslinked sheets. CONSTITUTION:Polycarbosilastyrene is used as the silicon carbide precursor polymer and after this styrene is heated and melted, the melt is extruded from a slit to obtain a thin silicon carbide precursor sheet. The sheet is heated in air to form the crosslinked and infusibilized sheet 1. The crosslinked and infusibilized sheets 3 and the sheets 2 which are not crosslinked and infusibilized are superposed on the ends of this sheet and about 0.5kg/cm<2> pressure is loaded to the superposed part thereof and the sheets are heated to fuse the sheets to each other. This sheet molding is again crosslinked and infusibilized and is then calcined in an inert gaseous atmosphere by which the conductive silicon carbide sheet is obtd. |
