The device has two stainless magnetic retaining arms (1), and a soft steel rod (2). A magnetic flux increases and closes contact of a spring blade switch (5) when the rod is not in contact with the arms. A klaxon informs a driver and occupants that an ISOFIX device is not anchored or that it is badly anchored or that a faulty operation is to be verified. The ISOFIX device is used for fixing the seats for children in a motor vehicle.
