A pilot type two port valve is provided to restrict foreign materials flowing through a liquid passage from entering a sealing in an insertion passing hole and restrict the sealing from being damaged due to the entry of the foreign materials to elongate span life of the sealing. A pilot type two port valve includes a valve body having a valve seat(24) formed in a liquid passage to communicate a first port(21) to a second port(22) and a valve member(25) to open and close the valve seat, and a valve driving mechanism(3) to drive the valve member. The valve driving mechanism includes a rod(31) having a leading end extending into the passage and the valve member is connected to the leading end. The valve further includes a cap(50) to restrict foreign materials from entering the insertion passing hole when the valve seat is opened by the valve member.
