Carbonyl group containing chemical compounds (I), are new. Carbonyl group containing compounds of formula (R 1>-CO-X-R 3>) (I), are new. X : NR 2>or O; R 1>alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl or heterocycle (all optionally at the saturated spacer of 1-3 C, N, O or S) or polyethylene glycol; R 2>H or alkyl; R 3>[(CH 2) n-NR 4>] mR 5>, (CH 2) n-CO 2R 5>, (CH 2)-CR 4>O, (CH 2) n-OR 5>or (CH 2) n-SR 5>; n, m : 1-5; R 4>H or alkyl; and R 5>H, alkyl, acyl, aryl or heterocycle (all at the spacer of at least a methyl group). An independent claim is included for a pharmaceutical composition comprising (I) and at least a further component of a carrier, diluent, anticoagulant, further active agent and/or inhibitor.
