PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for preventing or improving gray hair caused by aging, stress, or the like.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: We found out that Fucus has an excellent improving or preventive effect on gray hair, and the effect is attributed to an extremely high bFGF production-promoting effect, and completed the invention. We also found out that the effect is enhanced when combined with Phellodendron Bark. That is, the present invention provides (1) a gray hair preventive or improving agent containing Fucus or extract thereof as an active ingredient; and (2) the gray hair preventive or improving agent described in (1), the agent further containing Phellodendron Bark or extract thereof. The gray hair preventive or improving agent of the present invention can be provided as cosmetics, quasi drugs, pharmaceuticals, food and drinks, or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
