<p>The combined windscreen wiper and washer system for rail vehicles is operated by a single control lever (23) and a combined control valve. Two control pistons (4, 5) run in parallel bores in the valve, with one piston controlling the connection between the pressure reservoir (15) and the wiper motor (13) and the other the connection between the reservoir and the washer (17). The wiper piston is operated by rotating the control lever so that a cam (12) operates on the piston rod. The washer piston is operated by depressing the control lever so that a spring loaded sleeve (21) surrounding the control shaft, is moved axially to operate the piston rod via a sloping surface (19).</p> |
