PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature of a lubricating oil from extraordinarily rising by improving the construction of a lubricating oil passage which connects a lubricating oil inlet and a lubricating oil outlet to each other which are formed in the housing of a turbocharger, and facilitating the flow of the lubricating oil between the inner periphery of a floating bush which supports a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A turbocharger includes a rotary shaft 18 having at its one end a turbine wheel 16 and at its another end a compressor wheel 17. This rotary shaft 18 is supported by a housing 20 through a floating bush 19. In this case, the lubricating oil passage which connects the lubricating oil inlet to the lubricating oil outlet 26 which are formed in the housing 20, is constituted by a first passage 27 provided between the housing 20 and the outer periphery of the floating bush 19, a second passage 28 provided between the rotary shaft 18 and the inner periphery of the floating bush 19, and a plurality of third passages 29 which are formed in an oil slinger part 24 and connect the second passage to the outer periphery of the oil slinger part 24. By this arrangement, particularly the flow of the lubricating oil into the second passage 28 is smoothened and the extraordinary rise in the temperature of the lubricating oil is prevented. |
