PURPOSE:To inform the teller side of the cash shortage in a safe by providing a cash number counter and discriminating whether or not the cash specified by a pay-out order exists in the safe before cash is moved up. CONSTITUTION:A value of counted rejects in a reject counter is moved up (21) by two sheets of paper, which is regarded as the reject of the occurrence. In a subtractor circuit 22 the number of rejected bank notes is subtracted from the bank note number data in a safe and inputted to a comparator circuit 23, where the number of bank notes in the safe is compared with that of paid-out bank notes. When the number in the safe is larger than the specified number of paid- out bank notes, a pay-out action part 24 is activated and a move-up mechanism is operated. Whereas the number in the safe is smaller than the specified number of paid-out bank notes, the pay-out action part 24 will not be activated, but an error processing part 25 is activated. Then the impossibility of the move-up is informed with respect to a window device for giving a pay-out order. Since the right or wrong of the move-up is decided in such a way before the move-up action in the safe is started, the difference between the actual number and that of bank notes in the safe controlled by a CPU can be guaranteed. |
