In order to achieve at least approximately identical and, if possible, symmetrical run-off angles, in the run-off bobbin combination consisting of the bobbins (3) and (4) located one above the other the yarn-guide element located on a slide (16) is arranged movably and the yarn-guide device (11) is provided with an orientation means (17) for fixing the position of the respective run-off bobbin and with movement means for moving the yarn-guide element automatically in front of the respective run-off bobbin. As soon as, for example, the bobbin (3) runs out and the yarn (13) travels over to the lower bobbin (4), the slide (16) moves out of its upper run-off position into the lower run-off position (16'). <IMAGE>
