METHOD AND DEVICE FOR VELOCITY CONTROL

PURPOSE:To perform velocity control more precisely by using a pulse with the same frequency by using not only the leading edge of a velocity detecting pulse but both time of the leading edge and the trailing edge from one to the next in velocity information. CONSTITUTION:The velocity detecting pulse Pv whose frequency changes in proportion to the moving velocity of a controlled object 1 is generated from a velocity detecting pulse generating part 2, and both the time T1 of the pulse from each leading edge part to the next leading edge part and the time T2 of the pulse from each trailing edge part to the next trailing edge part are set as the velocity information, and a velocity detecting signal Vn representing the moving velocity of the object 1 can be obtained based on those information. The object 1 is controlled so as to set deviation between the velocity control signal and indicated velocity from a velocity command signal generating part 4 at 0 by calculating at a deviation arithmetic part 6. In such a way it is possible to perform the velocity control with fineness double that of a conventional case where only either the time T1 or T2 is set as the velocity information.
