The elevating apparatus for the height control of the washstand is comprised of a central part of a driving pulley(31a) being inserted in a driving shaft(31); next to the driving pulley(31a) in an upper part of a elevation driving means(30), a worm wheel(31b) being installed on the driving shaft(31) to couple with the driving pulley(31a); a worm(31c) being attached to the driving shaft(31) in an upper part of the worm wheel(31b) to be orthogonal to the driving shaft(31); the worm(31c) being inserted in a shaft of a motor(31d) rotating forwardly or backwardly; in a lower part of the elevation driving means(30), an idle pulley(32a) positioned vertically with respect to the driving pulley(31a), being installed on an idle shaft(32); a timing belt(33) being set between the driving pulley(31a) installed in the driving shaft(31) and the idle pulley(32a) inserted in the idle shaft(32), the surface of the timing belt which contacts with the pulleys being comprised of teeth.
