摘要

PURPOSE:To improve electromagnetic conversion characteristics and durability by incorporating nonmagnetic inorg. powder having dendrite and chain structures and specific hardness into a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic powder having the dendrite and chain structures and >=5 Mohs' hardness is incorporated into the magnetic layer contg. magnetic powder and the binder thereof. The nonmagnetic powder is constituted by bonding of 2-3 pieces of particles having 0.2-0.6mum average primary particle size and, therefore, said powder exhibits the excellent reinforcing effect similar to the case of adding the large grain-size powder with respect to the wear resistance of the coated film and since the power is the bonded matter of the relatively small grain size powder, the smoothness of the coated film is not so much degraded. The electromagnetic conversion characteristics are thereby improved and the durability is greatly improved.
