摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both storage stability such as resistances to water, plasticizer, oil and the like, and head matching properties such as dust adhesion resistance, anti-sticking properties, by layering on a heat-sensitive coloring layer a protecting layer containing a hectorite-based synthetic silicate of clay mineral and a binder. SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive coloring layer and a protecting layer containing hectorite-based synthetic silicate of clay mineral and a binder are sequentially layered on a supporting body, thereby forming a heat-sensitive recording material. The heactorite-based synthetic silicate of clay mineral having a structure similar to that of hectorite is a compound, e.g. expressed by a formula wherein (a), (b), (c) and (y) satisfy 0<a<10, 0<b<=1, 0<=c<=2/3a+b, and 1<=y<=2 and M is one or more anodic ions selected from alkali metal ions, alkaline earth metal ions and ammonium ions. The binder is concretely methylcellulose, methoxycellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose or the like.
