PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine comprising a special variable winning device and a variable winning device, capable of achieving a novel game property.SOLUTION: A game machine comprises: a start area to which game balls can enter; determination information acquisition means for acquiring determination information by ball entry of the game ball to the start area; special game determination means for determining whether or not a special game is performed, in the special game, a special variable winning device is opened and closed with a prescribed mode; a variable winning device which displaces to a first mode in which, ball entry of the game balls to the start area is impossible or difficult, and a second mode in which ball entry of the game balls to the start area is facilitated relative to the first mode; a normal start area through which game balls can pass; normal determination information acquisition means for acquiring normal determination information by passage of the game ball through the normal start area; and normal determination means for determining whether or not, perform a normal game in which the variable winning device is displaced to the second mode from the first mode.
