The cupboard unit system, particularly for building up dental instrument cupboards comprises several cupboard modules (3 to 6) mounted side by side and/or one above the other and each consisting of three profiled frames (10) which form the base and two opposite sides. One of the profiled frames (10) which adjoins a further cupboard module (3 to 6) forms at the same time part of this further cupboard element so that any cupboard construction can be assembled by using identical modules. Since only one common profiled frame is used between two adjoining cupboard modules there is a considerable saving in material. Storage and transport is easier requiring less space than for normal cubic frame constructions.
