摘要 PURPOSE:To require no change of the flare diameter of a mount stem even if the inner diameter of a bulb differs and shorten the production time by heating the end section of a straight tube type glass bulb to expand and mold it, inserting the mount stem, and heating its lower section to shrink it with a mold and seal it. CONSTITUTION:If the inner diameter of a straight tube type glass bulb 1 is smaller than the flare section 5 of a mount stem 2, the end section of the bulb 1 is heated and softened and expanded by a molding spatula 8 to form an expanded section 10. Next, the mount stem 2 is inserted into it, the lower section of the flare section 5 is heated by a ring-shaped burner enveloping the bulb 1, then it is shrunk according to the property of the glass bulb, swelling is generated to cover a seal section, if the pressure in the bulb 1 is increased, the seal section is pressed to the inner face of a mold, a node section is formed, and the bulb 1 is sealed. Accordingly, the flare diameter of the mount stem is not required to be changed for glass bulbs having different inner diameters, and the production time is shortened.
