<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality image display by compensating asymmetry in transmissivity of a liquid crystal for positive/negative drive voltages and eliminating jitters and burning, etc., in a liquid crystal display device of a counter signal line structure. SOLUTION: A mean voltage of a reference line drive voltage Vcom for AC driving the liquid crystal is set higher than the mean voltage of a signal line drive voltage V0. Further, when plural gradation displays are performed, respective voltages are set so that the mean voltage of the signal line drive voltage becomes low according to that a voltage difference as an absolute value applied to the liquid crystal becomes small.</p> |
