PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high density recording magnetic disk drive of a heat assist recording system, that is reliable and easy to manufacture and can reduce the transition noise. SOLUTION: A technique relates to magnetic recording. This magnetic disk has a base plate, a first conductive layer 13A formed on the base plate, a semiconductor layer 12 formed on the first conductive material layer, a second conductive layer 13B formed on the semiconductor layer 12, and a magnetic recording layer 11 formed on the second conductive layer 13B.
