摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the covering range of one radio base station by providing a movable optical transmission/reception part provided with a condensing lens in the radio base station of a radio communication system. SOLUTION: When a call is terminated, the radio base station 1-2 sends an incoming call to a radio terminal 1-1 and simultaneously issues a scanning instruction to the optical reception parts 1-20a, 1-20b,...1-20n. The radio terminal 1-1 originates a link channel establishing request from an optical emission part 1-10 and the respective optical reception parts 1-20 move the direction of an optical communication module and scan the inside of an area. When the optical reception part 1-20a ends scanning in a best reception direction and the link establishing request is transferred to the radio base station 1-2, the other reception parts stop scanning and prepare for the link channel establishing request from the other radio terminals at the point of time. In such a manner, by utilizing the high sensitivity sensor of sharp sensitivity characteristics for the optical reception part of the radio base station, a communicable range is enlarged, photosensors are reduced and simple constitution is attained.
