Submunition comprising two or more components packed in tube for transport and storage

Submunition components (10, 11,12) are put in a container (1,3) for transport and storage without being mechanically attached to each other and are transferred to a discharge tube in which they are secured using the storage and transport tube as a loading aid. Pref. the latter comprises a slotted plastic tube and devices such as lashing straps (8) and clamping brackets are used to hold the components in place. Pieces of foam (6) are pref. provided at the ends of the tube to fix components in place and to adapt the length to that of the transport case. The submunition pref. comprises an active part (10), a mounting plate (11) and a container (12) for a parachute. Simplifies precautions necessary for transport, storage and loading
