BLOOD PRESSURE MEASURING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate measurement of a blood pressure constantly by determining an outer circumference length of a part to be measured with a circumference length calculation circuit of the part to be measured when a pressure cuff and bag is mounted on the part to be measured to correct a measured blood pressure value automatically based on the outer circumference length with a blood pressure value correction circuit. CONSTITUTION:A conductor terminal 4 on the side of a pressure cuff and bag and conductor terminals 5 are connected to a cuff contact position detection circuit with a connection cable 6 extended from the pressure cuff and bag to input a detection signal thereof to a circumference length calculating circuit of a part to be measured. Then, an outer circumference length of the part to be measured is calculated based on the detection signal indicating which conductor terminal 5 the conductor terminal 4 contacts in the mounting of the pressure cuff and bag. A blood stream sound detection circuit is built into the pressure cuff and bag and an output signal of a pressure sensor is sent to a blood pressure value detection circuit to measure a blood pressure value of an examinee. The blood pressure value measured is sent to a blood pressure value correction circuit together with a calculation signal of the circumference length of the part to be measured to correct the blood pressure value based on a correction value for the maximum blood pressure value and the correction value for the minimum blood pressure value to be corrected according to the outer circumference length of the part to be measured.
