<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly improve reliability by drive-controlling input and output buffers according to noise states of input and output signals to enhance noise resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 4 confirms, on receipt of a read transfer request of user data from a host 2, whether read CRC data contain errors or not. When the CRC data contain the errors by the influence of noise or the like, a data transfer control part 9 outputs a control signal to an I/O buffer switching part 8 to switch I/O buffers 12 and 13 to a Schmidt input. When the CRC data contain no error, the controller 4 transfers the user data to the host 2. The controller 4 determines, on receipt of a retransfer request from the host 2 after the transfer, the presence of the influence of noise or the like in the data transferred to the host 2, and the data transfer control part 9 controls the I/O buffer switching part 8 to reduce the noise by lowering the drivability of the output buffer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
