PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fluidity of molten slag in a slag outlet by mixing the air and fuel which are alternately heated by heat storage burners at high temperatures, to blow the mixture into the slag outlet of a melting furnace. SOLUTION: A burner 19 is ignited, and a burner 18 is stopped. Further, the air from a suction blower 32 is fed to a heat reservoir 24 by the switching of a switching valve 28, and then the air is heated by the retained heat of the heat reservoir 24. Thereby, the inside of a combustion chamber 17 is warmed up, and the heated exhaust air by the burner 19 is exhausted outside through an exhaust pipe 27. The inside of the combustion chamber 17 is gradually warmed up, and it is brought to high temperatures in the range of about 800 deg.C up to 1,000 deg.C. This high temperature air is fed to an auxiliary burner 13 through piping 16, and then it is mixed with the fuel from a fuel pipe 14. Since the temperature of combustion gas can rise up to a slag melting point or higher easily, the fluidity of the molten slag in the slag outlet 9 can be improved. |
