摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved rear surface electrode type solar battery structure which allows higher efficiency.SOLUTION: A solar battery 500 includes base and emitter diffusion regions formed on a rear surface. The emitter diffusion region 502 is configured to collect minority electric charge carriers in the solar battery, and the base diffusion region 503 is configured to collect majority electric charge carriers. The emitter diffusion region 502 may be continuous regions for separating the base diffusion region 503. Area of each base diffusion region 503 can be reduced. By this, re-connection loss of the minority electric charge carriers is reduced, but at that time, there is no substantial increase in serial resistance due to lateral flow of the majority electric charge carriers.
