<p>The side-car for a pedal cycle incorporates propulsion for the vehicle, e.g. a battery-powered electric motor. The problem of mounting a power unit on a conventional pedal cycle is solved by use of the side car. The side car is detachably coupled to the cycle frame and has a luggage carrying platform. The side-car also provides a mounting for a weather-protective structure for the rider. An alternative form is a powered trailer located behind the rear wheel of the cycle.</p> |
