PURPOSE:To reduce the slant input of light into an element, by putting a solid state image pick-up element, which has a color filter on the surface, in a recess part that is provided in a ceramic package, providing a glass plate in the close proximity of the element, and reducing the areas of the opening parts of a shielding film and a metal frame, which is provided at the peripheral edge of the upper and lower surfaces of the glass plate. CONSTITUTION:In a recess pat 14-a provided in the surface of a ceramic package 14, a solid state image pick-up element 22, in which a color filter 21 is deposited on the surface, is put and fixed. A glass plate 11 is arranged in the close proximity of the filter 21. The outer part of a metal frame 12, which is provided at the peripheral part of the surface, is bent and fixed to the peripheral protruded part of the package 14. The part of the frame 12 is covered by a cap 25. A light shielding film 16 is provided at the peripheral part of the back surface of the glass plate 11. The area of the opening part formed by the light shielding film 16 is made smaller than an exposed opening part 13 of the glass plate 11. The slant input of light into a photodiode, which constitutes the element 22, is cut and the mixing of colors is prevented. |
