<p>PURPOSE:To improve moldability, strength, absorbing properties and water retaining properties by granulating, drying and burning a paper-making sludge containing a blended thickener. CONSTITUTION:A paper making sludge is blended with a thickener (e.g., water glass) and as necessary plasticizer (e.g., polyethylene glycol derivative), binder (e.g., polyethylene glycol) and foaming agent (e.g., sodium silicate) and the blend is granulated to provide granulated material having 1-5mm particle size. Then the surface of the granulated material is as necessary treated with a surfactant (e.g., talc) and dried at about 100 deg.C for 1hr and then burned.</p> |
