<p>PURPOSE:To provide a microbe immobilizing carrier capable of being easily repaired and maintaining treating performance over a long period. CONSTITUTION:The conventional microbe immobilizing carrier which is set in a bioreactor tank and on which microbes are deposited and propagated is corded with a braid, the carrier is fixed at both upper and lower ends, and consequently, the carrier 15 repaired and exchanged with difficulty. Accordingly, this carrier consists of a series of warps 11 suspended from a hanger rod 13 horizontally placed at the upper part of the tank with the upper ends fixed to the rod at regular intervals and a series of wefts 12 connected to the warp and extending in the horizontal direction, the warp and weft are interwoven into a net to obtain the carrier, and the carrier is suspended in the tank. Since only the upper part of the carrier is fixed, the carrier can easily be attached and detached, microbes are deposited even on the weft, and hence the treating efficiency is improved.</p> |
