PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely hold a fork in a tilt horizontal position by determining a tilt horizontal angle correction target value required for the calculation of a solenoid proportional command signal by adding a calculated correction quantity to a tilt horizontal angle target value preliminarily stored or set by an operator. SOLUTION: A controller 40 has a memory part for the tilt horizontal angle target value of a fork 12 and a tilt level control means 45 for automatically controlling the tilt angle. A level control part 44 adds a correction quantity AΔθof input tilt angle to a tilt horizontal angle target value preliminarily stored or set by an operator to calculate a tilt horizontal angle correction target value, and outputs the deviation between this tilt horizontal angle correction target value and the actual tilt angle detected by a tilt angle sensor to a drive part 41. The drive part 41 outputs a valve opening command or valve closing command according to the angle deviation to a solenoid proportional valve for driving a tilt cylinder on the basis of the deviation calculated by the level control part 44, and outputs a current-carrying ON/OFF signal to an electric motor drive unit.
