PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle which has a relatively simple structure and can be made in such a way that it does not interfere the back field of vision when a head rest is not used and enables even a person with a low sitting height to effectively use the head rest. SOLUTION: In a seat for a vehicle which is installed on this side of a back face panel 12 with a window 13 and sets up in parallel three seat parts 1A, 1B and 1C in the width direction of the vehicle and has head rests 4, 7 and 8 respectively on seat backs 3 and 6 of each seat part, a constitution is made in such a way that the head rest 7 of the seat back 6a positioned in the middle among the seat backs 3 and 6 is separated from the middle seat back 6a and is freely rotatably provided between a lower using position where it is hung down so as to continue approximately to the top part of the middle seat back and comes to the lower side than the window 13 of the back face panel 12 and an upper using position where it covers a part of the window 13 of the back face panel 12 so as to hold a gap between it and the top part of the middle seat back.
