PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor, whereby a thin solid electrolytic capacitor having a proper a volume efficiency is obtained, by solving the problem that a silver paste constituting a cathode conductor layer of a capacitor element cannot be formed thin or uniformly. SOLUTION: After applying a silver paste, constituting a cathode conductor layer of a capacitor element, air is blown against the applied paste by a first and second nozzles 2, 3 to adjust the thickness, thereby forming a thin and uniform cathode conductor layer. This reduces the contact resistance, to thereby stably obtain a thin solid electrolytic capacitor which is superior in volume efficiency.
